Preview/Pan BUG (?)

Just ran into this. A little weird. Wonder if it's always been this way:



-take a mono source in a 5.1 output.

-make sure center channel value is zero during the clip.

-write automation: pan across the front (left-to-right no center channel, just phantom center)

-decide you want the center channel, hit Preview, set center channel to 100.

-despite the visuals, the sound stays in the left channel only during Preview.



If you write the Preview value in, it plays fine, but not during Preview...
