Need advice: Pro tools 11, Motu 828x

Yikes! I am so green! Just bought MOTU 828x thunderbolt audio interface. If anyone has any info/tips on how to hook up this interface on macbook pro 2014, and I need some guidance as to configuring the settings in 828x and PT11 for full multitracking. This combination of equipment seems rather extensive/daunting. Also, can I use axiom 25 and Keyrig 49 MIDI Keyboards through the usb port on my Mac? I also am aiming toward 5.1 mixdowns for video, I also just installed Media Composer 8. I would like to keep in digital domain as much as possible using Lightpipe and AES protocol...TIA!
