I have just got Pro Tools 12 on the monthly subscription. I've never used PT before. I have a AMD A8 4500 Acer laptop with 8GB RAM running Windows 8.
I have Adobe Audition and Reaper on the laptop, both of which work fine.
However, PT is running really slow and regularly comes up "Not responding"...takes a minute or so to sort itself out. Even clicking on some of the menus it's really slow.
Any ideas what I can do to speed it up? The laptop had a big de-frag and clean up the other day so I've done that already.
