Yes this has been beaten to death. I feel like I already know the answer but would like confirmation that I'm off the hook on this one.
The editor took all of the location audio and synced it for each shot in separate premiere projects. Instead of taking these and importing them with the referenced audio, he decided to export new quicktimes for each shot - 16bit, dual mono "mix down" of 5-6 location audio tracks depending on what was captured day of.
No timecode for the audio was retained. And the kicker is that all of the audio file names were renamed to match the RED camera files.
Have tried Titan, modifying metadata in Wave Agent, exporting new clips in PP. At a loss. Does anyone have any suggestions other than just cutting what I received in the original OMF (dual mono mix down of all location audio)
Thanks!
