MC Control Screen Flickering (Old version)

Hi everyone, I have an older silver MC Control that has a screen that flickers every min or so, pretty noticeable. The screen itself seems ok. Not sure if this is a backlight or what I need to replace. I am very handy with repairing electronics. Any recommendations are appreciated....Any ideas guys?
