I downloaded the stand alone eleven rack editor. when I click on it i get the following message, "Unable to locate the eleven rack. Make sure the eleven rack is connected and turned on. Click Ok to to rescan. Click cancel to close".
I never had this problem before I changed lap tops. I now have a Dell Inspirion 3000. sorry I forgot what the other was(laptop). I never had to buy the expansion kit for the other laptop. I CHECKED THE GENERAL PROPERTIES AND IT SAYS IT IS LOCATED C:\Users\public desktop. Shortcut say C\Program files\Avid\Eleven Rack Editor.
I don't understand why I would have to pay $200 for the expansion kit, if I had it before and it worked fine, no issues. I have checked the USB cable which is routed from the eleven rack to my laptop. Running Pro tools 12.0. I up dated the drivers. I have read several threads on this, no luck. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks
