Pt12 memory

I'm about to build a new PC to run PT12, and I'd like to know how experienced VI users feel about the amount of memory needed.

A typical session for me would be 40-50 tracks, of which maybe 8 to 16 would be vocals, the rest would be various VI's on instrument tracks and some auxes. I usually use 2 or 3 reverbs on stereo auxes and 2 delays, as well as lots of other plugins on individual tracks. I'll also have busses for drums, percussion, other instruments, voices, space (for the reverbs and delays) all routed to a submix buss which in turn feeds the master. Because I do music for TV commercials sometimes, there's likely to be a video track in addition to a stereo SFX track

Would 48gb of memory be overkill? This will be for an older LGA 1366 build with 2x 6-core Xeon 5675's. It's triple channel memory into 6 slots, 3 for each processor. Your thoughts / suggestions are welcome, especially form those who use VI's heavily. Thanks.
