Notice the clarity...

Notice the clarity & resolution of the Pro Tools & Avid logo for the Installer Menu screen.
Also, notice the quality resolution of the desktop Pro Tools 12 icon.

Looks Pro right? Like a $599 program should.

Now, notice the quality of the Pro Tools & Avid logo for the start up splash screen.
Notice also the dashboard project & Application manager icons.
Looks like Avid is being freeware efficient. That's the impression I get.

If I was on the design team or the CEO for that matter, I would insist that both the splash screen logos and desktop icons EMULATE the clarity of the installer menu logos.

True, IT'S A SUPERFICIAL CONCERN on my part. But since you have all the means in the world, why not do it?
It seems it would be as simple as replacing the 3rd generation quality bit map image with one of better resolution. So it looks high class rather than shoddy.
Just seems like such a simple thing to improve yet completely not cared about.
Make the difference. Make the eyes shine when everyone opens the $599 Pro Tools program.

Don't get me wrong, I think Pro Tools has the coolest most inspiring GUI of all.
Once my session is open I'm always inspired.
But honestly, for the first few moments the program launches, I feel like I'm starting up some average freeware program. PT11 was smaller but smoother.
I would always get excited and say: "PRO TOOLS!" out loud every start up;)
Make this superficial kid happy:)

Lastly, THANK YOU for the entity of Pro Tools. For everything you've provided and put work into. Especially the new features:)
You're AMAZING!
Just need a better hat to go with that suit;)
I know you have one.

Kindest regards!
