Hey All. My computer is running windows 7 64 bit home edition. I am currently running pro tools 11.3. For more then a month now, pro tools has been constantly freezing. Here is a rough breakdown of what's going on.
A. Pro tools freezing during boot.
B. When i select my playback engine (Focusrite 18i20 USB), Pro tools will freeze for a few seconds.
C. Pro tools will freeze for a few seconds when creating audio track.
D. When i press record, i get a message that says "Focusrite failed to initalize. Please make sure it is configured correctly"
This is it in a nutshell. I have tried everything from lowering the buffer size to going through the Windows 7 optimization guide. I even tried doing a reinstall of Pro Tools and this did not work. The audio techs at Sweetwater could not tell me what is going on. I have never had this much trouble with Pro Tools before. If anyone here can give me some possible solutions, i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
