Hi,
Bought a late 2009 Macbook 2.26 intel core 2 duo. 4G Ram, 250GB drive. unfortunately the previous owner had updated it to El Capitan.
Now I've partitioned the drive into 2x 125GB and want to put Lion on the second drive. but the download from the app store won't run saying the OS is too new yada yada. Ive tried a disc of tiger but no go saying its PPC despite me installing it on numerous Intel Macs.
Biggest problem now is none of the start up boot key options work. I'm trying to do Command+R and Command+option+R to get to the various boot options but nothing works:confused: it just boots to the desktop. I've done the SMC and Pram reset. I've tried before and after the chimes and I've done this many time before on other Macs with no problem so I'm stumped as to why i can't boot into anything other than straight to the desktop.
All suggestions welcome:-)
