PT 11..Let's say I have an AUX track with one plugin.. Addictive Drums, Boom, Grand Piano.. you name it.. then I have a midi track routed to it. Keyboard connected via midi... I have to hit the keyboard ahead of the beat to hear it on time. But once I play it back.. it's not on time.. it's ahead of the beat.. I've tried every setting I can think of.. delay compensation on/off..
.. I even went into prefs/Setup/Midi.. unchecked Delay Compensation for External Devices.. all 3 choices unchecked... no dice.
I played a beat to a click by muting my aux signal so I only heard the click while I played.. and it was on time.. its the fact that when monitoring what I"m playing.. I have to hit it ahead of time to hear it ON time.
This happened back with digi 002.. digi 003.. and now I'm using Apollo Quad which didn't have midi capabilities, so I'm using the m-audio midisport 2x2 box midi in.. and connects to comp via usb... same exact results.. so it must be a pro tools thing? I really appreciate any help you can give! I've read the boards but haven't found any solution that works.. unless I'm missing something.
