Pro Tools 12.4 and stability [Mac]

Hi all members,

I've been working heavily on a new project of mine which was based originally on Logic Pro X as the main DAW.
After 12.4 got released, I upgraded pro tools to 12.4 and created a new session to try it out.

I must say that although the freeze and commit feature is a necessity for me, the stability of Pro Tools is really not up to par to what I would expect from a "Pro" product.

I am using El Capitan OS X, with Apogee Symphony IO converters (thunderbolt).

What are you impressions of the stability of this release? In Logic I am not accustomed to sudden freezes etc.

  1. Pro Tools 12.4 and El Capitan have known bugs together... I read that Avid was working on a solution, but Pro tools on a mac is VERY stable, unfortunately you upgraded at a time when there's a new bug... They'll fix it i'm sure soon.
