This is getting extremely annoying. I decided to use my PC instead of my macbook pro ('09) because it is much more powerful than the macbook. However Pro Tools on Windows is such a pain that I might just do my mixing on the macbook, even though I can barely have any plugins active.
If I want to use my interface for Pro Tools, which I obviously want, I have to disable it from the default Windows playback device so Pro Tools can use it, because apparently it cannot be used by both at the same time, unlike my macbook, which it can.
Then, when I'm done with mixing and default my Scarlett 2i2 to the Windows Default playback device, it will not work, no matter what I do, until I restart. Sometimes I have to restart twice for Windows to pick it up.
Does ANYONE have any idea what to do? My Scarlett 2i2 drivers are the beta drivers because they are the only ones that work with Pro Tools but this is ridiculous and I can't afford Avid support.
