Hello Everyone!
This morning I booted up my computer and when I attempted to load Pro Tools from my desktop shortcuts I was given an error message stating that it can't find the source file.
Further investigation lead me to find that the Pro Tools exe file for some reason had vanished.
I am still running Pro Tools 10.3.6 with Pro Tools 11 installed. Both the exe for 11 and 10 had vanished. In an attempt to fix the problem I downloaded the 10.3.9 upgrade and ran the installation. I thought this may fix the problem but it came up with an error message saying it couldn't find the exe. I clicked the 'ignore' button and the installation completed as normal but I was left with exactly the same problem.
Next I went to the uninstall programs service in Windows and hit uninstall. I restarted the computer and tried to re install 10.3.9 but now I keep getting the same error message about the exe file.
Has anybody encountered this problem and found a solution? I've tried manually deleting every pro tools related file on my hard drive but it hasn't made a difference.
Pro Tools has got to be the most fragile application I've ever worked with. I really want to move to 11 but I'm still waiting for Camel Audio to release Alchemy 2.0 with AAX2 support.
Thank you in advance for any help.
