How to paste audio ONLY, not Automation

How do I paste audio ONLY and not Automation? Issue . . . bounce a track, create new track, drag in new audio, copy and paste new audio over audio in old track and automation is gone on the old track. How do I prevent the automation on the old track from being over written?
